Children love to read when they are encouraged to advance at their own pace. Our curriculum introduces sight words and phonics incrementally throughout the year. Some students need a slow and easy pace while others advance quickly. Differentiation is absolutely key for this to be successful for the whole class! Each child in my class will have reading meetings with me several times a week. As I work with the children one on one and in small groups I am able to address the specific needs of each child.
